I have been silently pleading for another heart-mulcher like Ribbon series. And as they say, be careful what you wish for, pepper butchers my soul with this tearjerker.

Aslan was the most endearing of the characters. Loyal, mature, self depreciating to a fault.
Trapped in a net, his life doesn't belong to him. Neither at sea, nor on land. It's either a merciful gift or a Devils whirlpool.
Nerida is as carefree, as bubbly as a girl raised at sea can be. Untouched by civilized world's vices, her heart nudges her constantly to dive beneath the waves and feel at home
Aaaahhhh how unblemished is their love, you have to read it to believe it. I've never read a story like this before....
So pick up this book and get ready for your heart to be stretched beyond limits of endurance. You will love the story as much as you would hate the lives they're caught in.
Also one notable fact, pepper generally writes detail oriented books. but this one is so fast paced and dialogue driven, The events happen rapidly and feelings just crash into you like a angry waves one after the other. The riptide pulls you under and before you know it the end is near where pepper pushes you off the edge...literally!!!!
I'm trusting her to redeem them and give us some semblance of hope and peace. I will not survive another ending like Ren and Della: Boxed Set
Audio book narrators have done an excellent, outstanding job
A duet narration adds extra depth to it. Tor Thom & Fiona Clare just bring this story to life.
