  Blurb:
I was a nanny in need of a job. He was darkness personified. I had little to call my own. He was filthy rich, powerful, and dangerous. The assignment was simple, and my goal was too. Take care of his son. Keep my head down. When he least expects it, destroy him. It should have been easy. I thought it would be until I looked into his stark blue eyes. Kissing the enemy is a bad idea, but so is falling in love with him. He doesn’t know my crumbling foundation is built on lies. When he discovers the truth, I’ll find out if he’s as brutal as I believe. I came here to steal his life. I didn’t count on him stealing my heart.

Painfully gorgeous story brimming with passion and intrigue, just makes your heart flutter and thump with dread, all in the same breath. Zavarelli's hold on mafia trope is strong & tight fisted. She has a veritable formula tweaked to perfection where she adds in just the right amounts of thrill, intrigue, mystery and sweetens it with heartfelt sentiments and off the charts chemistry. In the droolworthy vein of all her alpha, Uber sexy and omni potent heroes, she yet again creates a flawlessly powerful and emotionally flawed human - Alessio Scarcello. He is NOT a gentleman. In fact,he's a ruthless royalty of his kingdom, a Sovereign Son.

description

"That’s the dichotomy of Alessio Scarcello. As lethal as he can be, there’s another side of him. One that seems less nurtured. More innocent, sometimes awkward, and… endearing in his own way.

An answer to his ad for a nanny rings him the silent girl - Natalia Cabrera.
She has a hidden agenda which she hides behind her silence. Observant & vulnerable, she immediately enamour you with her flawed beauty and flawlessly sensitive heart.
Their coming together is inevitable because the heat and spark between them could aunch a rocket into space. They can't keep away or unaffected by each other.

description

"We are from two different worlds. There is no reality where he’s going to take me to his super-secret organization as a date. I’m the hired staff, and he is the enemy. He just hasn’t realized it yet."

I'm always majorly overwhelmed with emotions whenever reading Zavarelli's stories.
She lights a tiny faltering flame to dispel the darkness of the otherwise heinous world and the stark contrast of the colliding worlds always adds an extra dimension to her mukti facteted stories.
I started it somewhat on tenterhooks and finished with tearful eyes and beaming smile.
That should tell you something πŸ™‚
5 stars for Nino
