I was one of the readers who was clamoring for MORE of Kellan & Darby from The Devil of Dublin. But I'm now even MORE hungry, MORE thirsty for MORE of these characters. A believable situation set amongst the mythical/mystical seaside village of Howth. The journey from the hideout cave to Glenshire, to visit the crumbling cottage, overgrown Reed canvas, where bluebells grow..... Leading up to the Saoirse Inhabited lough....sounds familiar?
intriguing and mystifying, almost touching on otherworldly, Damien Hughes and Clover bound by timeless, transcendant love. It belies gap of lifetimes, generations, countries. But the tri-freckled celtic knot is a strong bond for these Soulmates

BB combines her meticulous research with unforgettable characters in this landmark work of speculative fiction. the plot is good, insightful, and well-conceived. Events happen at a breakneck speed and the most dreadful villain was not even human.....**shudders**. It buzzed and stalked and spoke and killed with precision.

There is a larger backdrop of war that lands on Irish shores. And war destroys everything in its path.
Lives, families, landscapes, but my mind was fixated on a small pocket where Damien and Clover sheltered. With so many atrocities and crimes being committed against the population, the race to safer pastures was pockmarked with capture, torture and even worse outcomes ** shudders**
BB has gone edgier, darker, murkier with the plot. Villains are more cruel, heroes are more vulnerable. Heroines hurt and abused.
But the celtic bond of love is intact, strong and magnetic. Won't let the lovers separate for long.
I swear my hands are still shaking with the magnitude of the story, it's devastating effect, the powerful force of fated love, I didn't know whose effect was more profound on me. My eyes jumped everywhere, wanting to take All of it in. But also not lose sight of this unusually star crossed Soulmates.
I'm talleing ya, BB is a little fairy minx who has conjured this book to spin our heads and hearts with her magical pen
