Audiobook Review:: What Hurts Us by Maggie Gates

What Hurts Us (Falls Creek, #1)What Hurts Us by Maggie C. Gates
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Scintillating read with a persian Heroine. That is a win in my books, cause very few authors write non white heroines and that too of Asian or Islamic descent. Maggie has done fabulous justice to the culture with perfect words, on dot traditions and traditions. Good job Maggie.
Layla Mousavi is a flying nurse in Falls Creek, NC. She meets town cop, callum Fletcher who is town's most eligible bachelor and sex in uniform.
It's hard not to fall for him and Layla does that.
He needs a fake fiancee and she needs a place to say.
A match made in fake heaven which soon encroaches on reality.
I loved the sizzling chemistry and the connection between callum and Layla.
The grannys were a hoot. The surprise was BJ NOT being the vamp
Samantha brentmoor is a genius with pronunciation and accents. She's done a remarkable job. Bryant walker didn't have much to do, but he did well.
4.5 stars on Dolly Parton's earth
