They transport you to a parallel universe, an alternate reality and own you body and soul with its story, characters, writing style, but also fill you to the brim. you can’t get enough of every single word in it.
This book is part of a larger world of IVI. Effortlessly created, cause these two writers combined are a force to be reckoned with.
Sacrificial lambs led to slaughter come back to haunt the generations of lords and perpetrators. Witch hunters punished and haunted by curses. Such is the saga of two lineages intertwined by brutality and paganism, very ably portrayed by Zavarelli & Natasha. They KNOW their Society,they created a monster which feeds and grows in girth.
To get full effect, you must read earlier books set in this world, it helps understand their heir hy, mechanisms and constitution

But their coupling turns a softer corner and we get to see real kinship and love blossoming before our very eyes.
Its doomed tho.
He's alpha but his heart hurts for Willow. She's soft and submission but has spine of steel.
Book ends on a vicious twist that left my mouth agape and eyes wide.
Never saw him coming!!!.
Cannot wait for the next book to see how "they" fare...
