Anna & Charmaine once more provide an incredibly interesting storyline. The novel seems to go on and on with one exciting tale after another. His well-developed characters are compelling and the reader never knows what to expect next. It promises to be a racy thriller that checks all the boxes of mafia romance, and then some.

As we saw in White Nights Alex Voslov and Kate were thrown together by a botched assassination attempt, they now are bound by attraction. It's a more dangerous and lethal bond to say the least. It ties up hearts so the feet get cemented and won't leave, even if it means getting trapped in St.Petersburg.
The story goes from 0-100 in the second chapter itself, but expect a lot more frustration in relationship development and angst between Alex and his Katyusha.
She's the object of his obsession and that seems to be inadequate for her. Alex is a wall of silence and behind it hide secrets. Secrets so dep and heinous, he's still feeling the scars itch and hurt.
"I’m not angry at him for trying to keep us safe. What upsets me is how he’s going about it. He took away all of my choices and dragged me onto this plane. His single-minded resolve is nothing if not scary."
There's the quintessential chase, threats, dangers and mayhem.
Bullets fly, explosions happen, friends turn against you, employees turn betrayer...
I loved the animosity, the enmity part of the story as much as love and lust.
Nicely written, well plotted and expertly executed
