My entire life vanished the day I found my parents’ bodies.
It changed me, broke me, and I went from a bestselling author to a ghost writer hiding behind my words…
Then an assignment pairs me with a new detective on a high-profile murder case.
But things spiral out of control as bodies start piling up—a cruel reminder of a past I’m desperate to forget. As the case develops, so does my attraction to the lead detective.
The more we piece together the puzzle, it becomes clear the killings won’t stop…not until I’ve whispered my last word.
Blake
When I left my past behind to become lead detective at the Syracuse Police Department, I didn’t anticipate being handed my first serial killer case, and I sure as hell never expected to be working with an attractive woman.
Spencer and I dissect every clue and struggle to predict the killer’s next move, but he’s always one step ahead of us in this twisted game of cat and mouse. It’s only a matter of time before the killer claims his next victim.
And if he does…I lose everything.

A good 'ol fashioned Whoddunit with a hefty dollop of steaming, saucy sex gives you a blazing tale of love and passion.....gone awry.
I came across this book while doing promotions. The cover just drew me in. The Blurb was very magnetic and I WANTED to read this book so bad and Boy, I'm glad I did. It kept my pulse racing and eyes fixed on the words and I couldn't put it down, even for a bit.

This is the second Ghostwriter trope story I've read and first by Jodi. And now I'm so mesmerized by her writing style, I HAVE to go and read her backlist Tout Suite...Oh my growing TBR!!
A small town by Whiskey Lake has girls ending up dead, leaving the normally quiet town on an edge.
In walks handsome, suave Detective Blake Daniels
“He’s like sex-smothered bacon.”

Spencer Peters is running from her own demons and these killings are making her nervous and anxious.
The plot revolves around solving the Mystery of the killer and freeing Spencer's mind
“You know the problem with tiny, dark secrets?”
“They leak from your subconscious to haunt your conscious.”
Secrets keep piling up like dead bodies and the resulting chaos kept my heart pounding. I wanted to run towards the end and couldn't turn the pages fast enough.

It's very deftly Narrated, periodic twists and turns keep us engaged. I was desperate to uncover the killers identity and the Mystery kept me glued to the pages. Racy from first word to the last, it's breathtaking speed is both thrilling and antsy. Sensational story with a jaw dropping end.
You must pick this book ASAP
