Which is exactly why I had to friendzone Ken Easton. The man was a former football star, smelled like fresh laundry instead of stale cigarettes, and had more ties in his closet than tattoos on his knuckles. Pssh. BOR-ING.
But the more I got to know my hunky study buddy, the more questions I came away with. Questions like, why doesn’t he date? Why does he avoid human touch? Why does he hate all things fun and wonderful? The psychology student in me became obsessed with getting inside Ken’s head, while the spoiled brat in me became obsessed with getting inside his heart.

BB Easton lives in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, with her long-suffering husband, Ken, and two adorable children. She recently quit her job as a school psychologist to write stories about her punk rock past and deviant sexual history full-time. Ken is suuuper excited about it.

And BB did show us in the first book, maybe only a glimpse but Ken was THE shining star of 44 chapters.
And marvel at the talent and diversity of her that this is the same BB who made me laugh so hard that I'd tears pouring down my eyes in 44 Chapters and now she's made my heart tear up !!
And it's the same Ken-doll! What a feat to completely peel back the layers of her own characters till the soft entrails are laid exposed. I knew it in 44 Chapters, that Ken was THE ONE , yet BB was chasing a false high and readers let her figure it out for herself.
“Falling Star” wasn’t some epic tale of fated destinies and true love, like I’d made it out to be in my mind. It was about a girl who was meant for bigger things than her lover. He’d tried to keep her small, but in the end, she exploded into a supernova, leaving him in the dust.
After blowing like an autumn leaf in the wind, BB finds her ground and returns to Ken. His character just blew me away!
He's so vulnerable & adorable, stoic yet tender, a man who is supremely intelligent yet emotionally unavailable. He's the softest, purest human being ever to grace the pages of a book. Hero with limited vocabulary is totally unheard of, but he's real nevertheless. It's as if his heart is full of sentiments but words are trapped in his mouth. But though subtle, the connection is static and electric, so there's something real there, they aren't imagining it.
It didn’t make any sense. He wasn’t my type. He’d never once come on to me. And he was about as emotionally available as a cucumber. But there was an intoxicating current of energy surrounding him that I couldn’t get enough of.
Looks like BB had an inside peek into MY LIFE when she created Ken. If....and it's a big IF this ken is "REAL" then he's a sweetheart and he deserves a medal !
BB is ray of sunshine, untrappable and uncontainable in anybody hands. A free spirit, she's led by her heart and total opposite of head driven ken. Her doubts keep reading their ugly heads every now and then but her senses don't lie to her.
Ken wasn’t my type, but perhaps my type was ready for an upgrade.
The book is seriously addictive, once I picked it up, I couldn't keep it down. Cuteness factor of Ken will knock your socks off and endearing factor of BB would keep you besotted. I easily fell for this Yin-Yang couple who've occupied my thoughts, my heart, my soul and my brain completely.

I've rarely come across a story written so well, with so much compassion and honesty. It's like BB the author has laid her insides open on the pages to bleed and soak in the pages. Perfect story of a perfect couple in less than perfect setting, full of flaws and imperfections but their jagged hearts just were made for each other.
I’d thought I loved Ken before, but what I’d fallen in love with were mere glimmers of the qualities he truly possessed. Now, they were on full display in high-definition. His strength. His selflessness. His grace. His love. I’d kissed a prince, and somehow, he’d turned into an even better prince.
All the heart eyes and rainbows and glitter and awwwwws and sighs at this point can't explain how much I fell in love with Ken!!😍 (I'm secretly hoping it's real Mr. Easton and it's not at all embarrassing for him !!!)
I can't even attempt to give it stars, it's that good
