My oh My have I been waiting for Aleatha Romig to write another dark book for what seems like forever! Back in February 2012 I picked up a book from a local author who I had heard about. When I read Consequences, I knew I was hooked on this author for giving me what I needed in a dark book.
Secrets, book 1 of the Web of Sin trilogy set the stage up for us. The show is about to begin.
Sterling Sparrow is swoon worthy, that’s for sure! He is big… He is gorgeous… He is rich… He is protective of what is his. He doesn’t lie. He wins at everything. He is the big man of Chicago and he is claiming what is his…it was promised to him years ago.
Araneae McCrie is no stranger to change. Her life has changed completely 2 other times. This time though…the change scares her. The name Sparrow is involved in heading up the change. She was warned many years ago about this name.
Absolutely enjoyed reading this book page by page taking it all in. This book has got me needing book 2! I’ve got my seat center stage, popcorn in hand…Bring on the show. Great job Aleatha!!!

She can spin a web of secrets and intrigue like nobody can and even though I loved a lighter,blonde-latte Leatha, I like this Mocha-Espresso version a whole lotta more!! A rich brew of lies, deceit & danger at every turn just stimulates my mind and keeps my blood pumping!!
It starts with the chilly words- “Araneae, you have no idea how long I’ve waited for this day."
An adrenaline rush from first scene in chapter one to last scene in the last chapter, it's a non stop Runathon, barely escaping from danger by mere fingertips!
Kennedy Hawkins is in danger...grave danger and we don't even know HOW MANY people are trying to get her hands on her. DEAD OR ALIVE !! And Sterling Sparrow made a promise to himself, to his family that Araneae was HIS !! And he's nothing if not a man of his word ..Oh My!!

Not that I don't read those scenes single handedly, I mean I'm human aren't I !! He's the ultimate alpha. Tall, stone cold & simmering hot and decisive and powerful. A take-charge man who has an affinity for delicious spankings...oh my!!
In all situations, Sterling Sparrow moved like a lion: majestic, strong, proud, and above all, powerful. He was the king of the beasts and everyone within his realm was either a peasant, present to do his bidding, or prey, waiting to be devoured.
