The characters are like moths buzzing around a flame. From the get go you're right in the midst of chaos and gang war. Danger lurks EVERYWHERE!! Emma Jean Parish cons Tristan Paine into rescuing a cat and in exchange steals his wallet. But that memory just lodges in his brain and shall torture him for the coming years where he relentlessly hunts for her.

Their story is full of surprising blind twists, corkscrew turns and you WILL NOT SEE the hard knocks coming one after the other .

Of the characters, Haze, Belly, Marci are noble and loving, sandy is a hoot, reminds me a bit of #BowTieTillIDie Preppy😍
Tristan just stole my heart, his quietude is so scary, it matches his Grim the Executioner persona. He's feared and dreaded amongst all gangs. Be it Immortal Kings or Los Muertos or Bedlam.
