I protect what’s mine.
The ranch, my family, our buried secrets.
Nothing will stop me from reassembling the life that went terribly wrong.
Not the law.
Not our enemies.
Not even Maybe Quinn.
The gorgeous, quarrelsome journalist shouldn’t have meddled.
I shouldn’t have let her stay.
But she’s hiding something in those deceptive blue eyes.
Something deeper than her thirst for a news story.
I make a deal with her to buy time.
To unravel her lies. To play with her. To satisfy my darker appetites.
When she buckles beneath my belt, I’ll send her away.
Unless I buckle first.

Java, tobacco, and dark romance novels are her favorite indulgences, and might be considered more unhealthy than her aversion to sleeping, eating meat, and dolls with blinking eyes.

I never imagined that I would fall for cowboys! But after this second visit to Julep Ranch, I’m ready to save a horse and ride a cowboy!!!
Jarret has a heart of gold. Will do anything and everything to protect his family and farm. The pact the 4 of them made that day always in the fore thought. Scars to remind them. One by one till peace is found.
When the sassy, back bone stronger than cement, Maybe arrives at the bar… Jarret has guard up. There’s something there but only time will tell what she is up to.
Maybe is out to find answers. Everything has pointed her to Julep Ranch. What she didn’t expect was to find someone who would cause her to step back and find out who she truly is.
Family is certainly not made up of blood. We find that in Buckled, family is who you are branded with.
Absolutely loved Jarret and Maybe. Now I’m ready for Lorne’s story! And to find out what happens with what they acquired that doesn’t belong to them!!!

Welcome Back to Julep Ranch. Here 4 young friends grew up, fell in love, struck eternal friendship bonds and they still hold those ties sacred, come what may. And Pam throws a a LOT their way.
The mood is reminiscent and rebuilding. It's a "lying-in-wait" kind of vibe you can feel.

Pam has a gift. She can shove a fist in your rib cage and squeeze your heart tight. She can make you FEEL! She can make you fall in love with bad boys, make you root for them, make you cry with them and then make you smile too. Her stories stay with you ALWAYS. Nobody writes angst and desperate love like Pam.

Buckled is following KNOTTED, the story that introduced us Jake & Jarrett Holston, Connor & Lorne and their Blood Vow. The circumstances leading up to the vow were dreadful and life-shattering, to say the least. Though Jake & Conor are limping back to normal, Lorne is being missed, and Jarrett is still a third wheel. The boys are working hardest to restore their Julep Ranch, troublesome situations are being dealt with, threats are being removed but still it's a long way to go before happiness and prosperity returns for good in the grief stricken & devastated Ranch. She made my heart cry tears of blood in KNOTTED, the despair and bereavement still continues , a tad diluted though.

Maybe Quinn visits the Julep Ranch . Her motives are ambiguous, her movements suspect. She's on a truth finding mission, which puts her on a collision path with Jarrett. Sluething on naive Maybe's part is embarassing and hilarious . Hearts collide, beat and get tangled together. The story floats on air from here. Their lust pink cloud getting rosier and fluffier and I, as a reader, am on a high just watching them explore each other, body and soul.
He shackled my heart with his, and I wish he would lose the key to that lock. The steady beat of his love against mine empowers me, strengthens me, makes me believe that as long as we’re together, it’s enough. We’re enough.

The thunderstorm scene was explosive, orgasmic and euphoric. I still am getting goosebumps picturing it. So powerful in love, so intense in passion, so perplexing in dejection , this story will echo and resonate in your heart. The music will bounce off of your walls, will drown you , yet won't let you drown
Cold drops, sultry air , and the distant rumble of thunder— there’s something celestial about kissing this man in the rain. It’s a frenzied moment that refuses to wait. An outpour of love desperate for connection, uncaring about soaked clothes or chilled skin. It’s a rebellion against threatening winds and depressing conditions. Nature brings the rain, but we stand against it, united in mutual need.

I felt overwhelming, staggering sentiments. I loved and fell in love, hurt and was ready to hurt, was destroyed and ready to kill, I was rescued and was ready to live happily ever after.
I still have a long way to go with these characters. I'm definitely sure next book will be explosive & provide the closure so badly needed .

#WritePamWrite, I'm on pins & needles up til then.
