Blurb

“I met the boy I wanted. But then he vanished and a new man claimed me instead. My father approved, my colleagues congratulated, and behind closed doors, I was bedded by a stranger.”

Noelle Charlston lived a fairy-tale life: a doting father, a powerful job, and a future blessed with financial security.

However, two meetings with two men changed her happy existence forever. First, she met the boy who made her heart sing. Second, she met the man who made her blood quiver.

Noelle’s freedom was no longer hers. It belonged to the man her father believed was the perfect match. The man who pulled his lies over everyone he touched.

Including her.

Seduced and manipulated, Noelle lives two lives. The one everyone sees on the outside and the one no one sees on the inside. The lies he spins, the truth he hides, the mystery he webs—it’s all enough to slowly erode the woman she’d been and turn her into something else.

Until her past collides with her present.

And it’s her turn to lie.
To everyone…including herself.

My Review:

5 Stars!!!

How in the world does one constantly write books that hook you from reading the blurb to turning the last page? Pepper Winters, of course has mastered this wonderful talent. Crown of Lies is one that will have you turning the pages without coming up for air. The suspense, the high's and low's, but most important of all, the story-line. Crown of Lies delivered and has left me wanting more.

Noelle Charlston (Elle) has grown up with her father after loosing her mother. Her father made it his mission to have the world revolve around Elle. Never wanting for anything, always a daddy's girl. But how much can a young girl take of constantly being directed in the way her father deems. At some point the teenager/young adult has to experience life outside of what her father dictates.

Turning 19, Elle decided to escape and attempt to see what 'real people' do. On her birthday evening, she heads to NYC alone. This is the turning point in her life. What happens, Elle will never be able to erase from her memory. Haunting her, Tormenting her, Searching, Wondering and most of all...the feeling of loneliness...spending years looking for 'nameless'

Penn Everett is a very mysterious man...one that will have you lusting for. What is it that he is wanting from Elle? His reasoning's for finding her and making a deal with her is a move in this chess game that leaves you wanting to say checkmate but clearly there is a pawn in the game.

Needing more from this story is an understatement!!! Until February 28th when Throne of Truth comes out... I will be thinking of how in the world will Pepper Winters tie all of this together and end this game of Truth, Lies and Mysteries.
