Aleatha Romig is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author who lives in Indiana, USA. She grew up in Mishawaka, graduated from Indiana University, and is currently living south of Indianapolis. Aleatha has raised three children with her high school sweetheart and husband of over thirty years. Before she became a full-time author, she worked days as a dental hygienist and spent her nights writing. Lies..lies..lies everywhere, who to believe and who's lying ?
The jury is still out because as is true with book two in a trilogy, the story progressed but towards an unknown destination and even though you know more than book 1, you still don't know enough to justify any characters' actions.
Araneae McCrie is stuck in a spider's web of lies and deceit.
Somehow, unimaginably, I had become a woman who’d been sucked into a world she didn’t understand.
Like Alice In Wonderland she has fallen down the rabbit hole with tumbles and hits that just keep on coming. Meanwhile Sterling Sparrow is hypnotising her with his amazing sex appeal and charming model like good looks. Against her better judgement she's falling, and falling fast.
I liked navigating narrow passageways of power corridors, I liked turning blind corners expecting to bump into something new or someone from the dead and buried past, I liked the adrenaline rush this book rode on.
Out of characters, Sterling is still an enigma, along with Patrick and Reid, he's keeping things close to his chest while his priority at all times is safety of his girl-Araneae
Of Araneae/Kennedy, she's being over protected and feeling trapped, even though Sparrows love is a warm cocoon and his home an infra red castle, she's feeling restless.
I'll wait for book 3 eagerly now !!
