From the author who brought you A Thousand Boy Kisses comes the new emotional novel, A Wish For Us.
A story of music. A story of healing. A story of love conquering all.
Nineteen-year-old Cromwell Dean is the rising star of electronic dance music. Thousands of people adore him. But no one knows him. No one sees the color of his heart.
Until the girl in the purple dress. She sees through the walls he has built to the empty darkness within.
When Cromwell leaves behind the gray skies of England to study music in the South Carolina heat, the last thing he expects is to see her again. And he certainly doesn’t expect that she’ll stay in his head like a song on repeat.
Bonnie Farraday lives for music. She lets every note into her heart, and she doesn’t understand how someone as talented as Cromwell can avoid doing the same. He’s hiding from his past, and she knows it. She tries to stay away from him, but something keeps calling her back.
Bonnie is the burst of color in Cromwell’s darkness. He’s the beat that makes her heart skip.
But when a shadow falls over Bonnie, it’s up to Cromwell to be her light, in the only way he knows how. He must help her find the lost song in her fragile heart. He must keep her strong with a symphony only he can compose.
A symphony of hope.
A symphony of love.
A symphony of them.

A story of music. A story of healing. A story of love conquering all.
Absolutely loved A Wish For Us! Tillie Cole has brought to us this very emotional journey that without music, the colors would all fade.
Cromwell Dean is doing what he does the best, making music. These days, he finds himself at the clubs as DJ mixing up the beats and playing off the emotions he feels as the club goers thrive on the dance floor. He has them in the palm of his hand.
Bonnie Farraday traveled to Europe to see this DJ spinning the sounds that have everyone flocking to. As she stood completely still on the dance floor, she felt nothing. The music that was playing had no soul.
As Cromwell needed a change, he set off to US on a full ride music scholarship to a small-town college. Never imagining he would see the girl who told him his music had no soul.
Being forced to work together as a team, Cromwell and Bonnie are both fighting demons hiding within themselves. The mandatory team is destined to break up and fail the class.
Tillie Cole has a way of sucking you into a story filled with so much emotion. The pages turn effortlessly and the words devoured as the music and colors come into view. This story is a wonderful way to understand that even though you might lose some, you also will win some.

A melodious story that will leave you breathless and craving for more notes, more beats, more tunes. You will beg/plead/cry/weep for the people who climb out of the pages and take residence into your heart. Tillie chose an unexampled topic to explore that I believe I'd never even heard of before. The complexities and travails of genius is very poignantly highlighted. It just stuns you with its painful beauty.

Impenetrable heart meets a defective heart and our collective hearts disintegrate. That's the gist of this heart love shattering story of how musical souls. Their hearts beat to same drums, beats, notes.
The boy who can see colours and the girl who can hear emotions

It's like God made them for each other and put them on separate continents. Fate finds a way for them to be together. Cromwell Dean the hottest and most promising young DJ, is God in EDM world and Bonnie is there on his club trying to listen . She finds it lacking and this is where their infamous clash starts.
“The best music must be felt. By the creator. By the listener. Every part of it from creation to ear must be wrapped in nothing but feelings.”

“You can’t fight the colors you were born to see.”
No matter how far you run, you can't get away from your talent.....or demons.and they are both playing havoc in Dean Cromwells mind.
She feels no connect and labels his work as synthetic and soulless. Naturally Dean is irritated and brushes it off.
Next thing you know, fate throws them together in Jefferson. In the same college, in the same class.
I don't wanna give anything away. So I'll stop right here.

But....BUT, the story will tear your heart out and chop it into pieces. It's devastating & soul razing. You will feel your emotions going through a grinder. A pit was in my stomach the whole time and a lump the size of England, lodged in my throat.
Be prepared to cry....& cry...& cry......then cry some more. Giant box of Kleenex and skyscraper sized bottle of wine is mandatory.
Dean's talent is unique and unparalleled.
Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor spilled out from my hands, every bar burned into my brain. No sheet music was needed. I just followed the colors. Vibrant red. Pale blue. Ochre. Tan brown. Lemon yellow. One after the other. A tapestry in my mind.

So is his prickly personality. I loved this broody genius. The character was so childlike vulnerable, I wanted to hug him hard and save him from his chaos.
Bonnie is the quintessential sweetheart, she breaks down barriers and penetrates into ui ur heart effortlessly
Easton just steals the show. Massively talented and happy go lucky, even though he hides a lot of pain behind his loud personality.
The story is simply outstanding and Tillie's writing just goes straight to the heart. Very well researched and vivid in description, you'll fall in love and as happens in love, there's a risk of getting your heart trampled. So yes, it does happen. A few sensitive subjects are touvvhed upon and some scenes damn near killed me, I've just about recovered. So go forth and feed your heart in the chipper.
