“You feel that?” he asked. “The instant we touch, your heart speeds up. Now feel this,” he said, moving our hands, fingers still laced to press against his chest. I could feel his heart pounding against the palm of my hand, as I got lost in his eyes. “Mine does the same thing, and it’s not because of how bad I want to be inside you. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I fucking need to be inside of you. No––this feeling right here is because you make me feel alive.”
“Lex—”
“No. You don’t get a say in this. I was a mess until I met you. You invaded my dreams at night. You captured my thoughts during the day. Hell, even Logan noticed the difference in me. I’m better…because of you. You saved me. Now let me love you.”
I grew up in Chicagoland and now live in quaint little town in Northwest Indiana. I have two beautiful children and husband who worships the ground I walk on (or at least he should). I've always loved reading. Now I'm expanding that love into writing and look forward to producing many books.
I'm a huge geek and proud of it. Books are my life. I love reading, especially fiction. It doesn't matter the genre or age group. I will read anything from comics to novels. I read at least one book a day. If it wasn't for my kindle, my living room would be overflowing with books.

BY LAURA LEE
Indie is a serious don’t mess with me kind of girl. She has a disease she suffers from called hoof-mouth disease. In other words, she likes to put her foot in her mouth and says what she thinks before thinking about what she is saying. Having been brought up in a house that was not full of love by two parents who sought out to hurt each other, she knows for a fact that cupid is not real.
Lex is on his way to play baseball in the big league when a horrible accident happens. Now living the life of carrying on and taking care of the ones he caused the pain and suffering to, he isn’t living life for himself anymore. Even though it’s wrong how he is living, he just can’t move past that horrible day that changed his life forever.
When Indie and Lex meet at the sticky as crap floor bar, pickup lines flow back and forth. It’s great to see how they both feel so free bantering back and forth. But will their past come into play and not allow them to go further than a casual chit chat when they see each other? Or will their past only make them stronger and allow them to be together?
