Duvan was always the better man when it came to the two of us in Brie’s eyes, but I never once wished him dead. Because his death meant the death of her heart. And her heart has always been my focus.This poor woman is broken and slayed. She’s bleeding uncontrollably from a wound in her heart.

There are a whole lot of characters trying to stabilize the broken pulse of Brie's Life. War , Baylee, Gabe, psycho Hannah , Oscar, And Daddy Diego😍 * flutters eyelashes at him * .

Brie is very strong, very resilient and very protective

Well the Tigress has definitely earned her stripes. 
The story is trademark Kristi. Very twisted, messed up, violent but there's a whole tub full of tears too. My heart broke in several pieces , I cried a lot , I nearly stopped breathing at a couple of scenes. But now that I'm a veteran of Kristi's Kraziness, I opened a big bottle of wine along with📝 * sends the bill to her*
Her books are a constant source of Joy, Angst, Mindfuckery , Heart attacks and Alcoholism 
PSA-I love Kristi but not right now . I'm hungover !🤕

They comforted her sobs, giving her exactly what she needed. She cried into her husband’s chest, a hundred tears falling for every regret. No words were spoken. Lowering himself to the floor, he simply held her in his lap, wiping her tears, providing her with warmth in this cold, hateful world.

She didn’t know how many minutes ticked by as he remained there, silently assuring her with his presence that they would get through this, that everything would work out. Still, she knew they would never be the same. This had shaken their family to its core. There was no returning to the way things were before.

Olivia cried harder.

She cried for all the time she should have spent with her daughter instead of working tirelessly for one charity or another. She cried for all the times she told her no when she should have said yes. Yes, we can have pancakes for dinner. Yes, we can go feed the ducks at the pond. Yes, we can make Christmas cookies in July.

My first book by TK Leigh and I. Was. Hooked !
It’s a fairly controversial subject, considering the presently unstable political environment. So I’d think it is a very brave attempt by her. But she’s done an excellent job !
Every parents’ absolute Worst nightmare – when their darling child goes missing . So fantastically have the two facets been combined , it’s awesome to see how the story unfolds. The writing is so superb, you feel every single emotion , you feel so much pain and helplessness , being a mom, it effected me more so, I guess.
Important life lessons learnt – 
FAMILY FIRST.ALWAYS ! 
Blood makes you related. Loyalty makes you family.
Two things I’d want to mention . M.K. Gandhi was a non violent, peace loving Freefom Fighter , Father of the Nation to India. He brought down the mighty British Empire to its knees.
It’s GANDHI not Ghandi…please😯
Secondly – this book is a superb THRILLER , not romance or smut at all…

My Review

Well My Gosh, can this story get any more twisted? I just wish for one day, this family and extended family can sit down pool side and drink a nice glass of wine while eating cheese and crackers!!! Love each other and enjoy the wicked backgrounds that each possess. Not seeing this happening in the near future though...so onward we go with Brie and Ren's story.

Picking up where we left off with book 4, we find out how Brie is going to handle the cards that have been dealt to her. Albeit, a pretty crappy hand...she does what she needs to do to survive. Ren is there to help her progress with accepting her crappy situation. Boy does he fill the void perfectly! 

With the twist and turns, this book is a very interesting story. One that has you pulling out any and all emotions right up until the last page! Can not wait till the next one............Yes, you read that right, there will be more coming.

When I got downstairs to the dining room, Glenn and Wade were already there, speaking to each other in hushed tones by the large window. There were shiny plates on the table, with all sorts of silverware around them. Start from the outside and work your way in, was what I was told when it came to using the various forks and spoons. Give me just one of each and I’d be happy.

It wasn’t long before Glenn noticed me at the door and the conversation ceased. “Emma, you look lovely tonight,” he announced.

I smiled. “Thank you.”

He beckoned me over to the table and Wade held out a seat for me. I sat down and he took the one on the right, while Glenn sat on my left at the head of the table. There was only one other place setting and it was across from me.

“Wine?” Glenn asked, holding up the bottle.

I nodded. “Sure.”

He poured me a glass and I took a sip. It tasted like heaven, all fruity and crisp. It was so good I had to take another sip, and another, while we waited on the special guest. Not even a minute later, the dining room door opened and a man walked in. Only, he wasn’t just anyone.

It’d been eight years and he’d surely changed, but there was no mistaking those gray eyes. His hair was the same light brown, and mussed up like all the guys did their hair these days. However, his body looked totally different. His cream colored, long-sleeve sweater hugged a set of muscular arms, and his face was more rugged, covered in a five o’clock shadow.

I almost choked on my wine. “Oh my God.” Is it really him?

“Emma, are you okay?” Wade asked, his voice low.

“Yeah,” I whispered. “I’m fine.”

I waited for Preston to look at the table, and when his gaze finally caught mine, he paused for a slight second. In his face, I could see the friend I lost so long ago, but it vanished quickly.

Glenn and Wade both stood when Preston approached, and I shot up out of my seat, bumping the table with my jerky movements. Glenn grinned at me and then at Preston. “Preston Hale, I’d like you to meet Emma Turner. She’s my assistant. Emma, this is Preston Hale, a close family friend. His father is one of my dearest friends.”

Preston held out his hand and looked at me as if he’d never laid eyes on me before. “It’s nice to meet you.”

Was he being serious? I shook his hand and made sure to put a little extra squeeze in there for good measure. “Meet me? Surely, you remember who I am.”

Glenn’s eyes went wide. “Wait. You two already know each other?”

I nodded. “From college.” I was about to add before he up and left without a trace, but thought better of it.

Glenn chuckled and smacked a hand on Preston’s shoulder. “Well, isn’t this a small world? You’ll have to tell me some stories on this one.” He nodded my way.

Preston’s jaw clenched. “Can’t. Don’t remember her.”

My mouth dropped open; it was like being punched in the gut and slapped in the face, all at the same time. No words would come out, so I sat there with a lump in my throat. In college, he’d been a close friend. I sang with him in his band, Silent Break. We connected on stage in a way I’d never felt with anyone. I cared about him, and had even been ready to take the next step in our relationship right before he up and disappeared. I never got to tell him how I felt. Now he looked at me as if I was a stranger.

The room fell silent. I wanted to say something, but I bit my tongue. It was going to be the longest dinner of my life.

Just finished popping my L.P. Dover cherry with Trigger. What a great pop it was. This book was one heck of a roller coaster. Up, Down, Sideways then loop de loop, then toss in the twist and turns and you've got a great book that left me tapping my screen quickly to turn the pages. 

Preston Hale, typical college student who plays in a band. Heading to meet up with his college crush who also happens to be in his band, he comes across a scene that changes his life forever. Dropping everything after this night, he like vanishes.... 
Emma Turner, college student playing in a band. One night her 'crush' just seems to disappear. Causing the band to break up and her to go on with her life. 

Now years later, Emma working as a PA for the wealthiest man in town can not believe her eyes when she sees none other than Preston Hale walk in to have dinner with her boss and his son. What in the world? He's changed though...He doesn't recognize her...how, how is that possible!!! 

Will the past come back to haunt Preston or will the past come back to help Emma? 
L.P. Dover did a fantastic job with building up this story and leaving us trying to figure out who the mysterious man is
